About this talk

Meetings and events should be part of your overall marketing strategy. More business gets done (read: sales) because of the relationships we’re able to build face-to-face. The magic is in taking online offline, and then continuing to foster relationships online beyond the event. Sometimes the events team is in the marketing department, but not always, and it’s crucial to establish an on-brand strategy together for what you’re trying to accomplish.

In this session, you will learn strategies and tactics for developing a successful event EXPERIENCE that fosters a positive brand image that’s in line with your overall business. We will work through the “why,” to the how, and then how to get the word out to drive attendance and positive feedback.

  1. You’ll learn how events should fit into your overall marketing plans, including the importance of developing on-brand strategies and communication plans for your events.
  2. We will scratch the surface of sourcing and logistics for events, giving you tips and resources.
  3. Finally, marketing the event before, during, and after is key to the overall success of an event, so you will learn tips and tricks to do so successfully
